I just realised I've been in Birmingham for 4 years now. A lot has changed since I first came here -

Bus 44 became bus 46, then changed back to bus 44. Then they split the routes.
Maximum bus fare (single) was £1.10, now £1.50, u might as well get a day saver.
Just 15 (Chiltern Railways) scheme started in '04, got scrapped this year. Imagine my surprise when I saw the sign, am guessing "Just 18" doesn't sound good.
Omega Sketor opened in August '07 on the former Virgin Megastore site.
Music zone & eplay died.
Loads of shops opened & closed in Selly Oak.
Hawes & Curtis appeared out of nowhere.
Bully's been vandalised twice
The Birmingham Super Hospital commenced construction, it looks massive.
Aston Uni's building new accomodation.
UCE (University of Central England in Birmingham) became BCU (Birmingham City University). For a uni that opened in 1971 as Birmingham Polytechnic
Birmingham uni changed its logo, introduced that crap Y&O and UB thing (if u own UoB clothes, u know wat I mean.).
Aston changed its logo.
Birmingham City got relegated, then promoted, then relegated again.
West Bromwich Albion got relegated, then promoted.
Will Smith set the world record for movie premieres (he attended 3 in 24hrs, Manchester, Birmingham & London, yup in that order.) with Hitch. We all missed that lecture & I saw the Willster. Alas it was thru d jumbotron & I had broken my glasses prior to the event. Plus it kinda snowed, I missed all d free stuff & it was the 1st movie premiere in Birmingham. My 1st & only movie premiere, I left when he startd rappin', I got tired & went to Tesco.
Virgin Megastores r now zavii & it's now bloody hard to find the PS2 section - window shoppd yesterday, all I found was 1 tiny section of 360 games, loads of dvds, clothes, accessories & of course virgin mobile.
Minimum wage has increased.
I am 3yrs older & still none the wiser. Huh?! I was born in November & I came to Bham in September '04, u do d math.
Tesco (5ways) got rearranged & they now sell Krispy Kreme donuts.
Cinema ticket prices have increased, from £3.00 to £3.75 (Student/Adult b4 6pm, AMC), it may hv been less than £3.
Train prices r up too, duh.
HSBC closed their Aston uni branch. Won't be surprised if they closed their UB branch.
And other random stuff. Random comment - If d congestion charge ever lands in Bham & I'm still here, that means I'll never learn how to drive.

I am going home on Sunday..............go me, Mego. Now if I cud just pack................

Cat People (1982): Was not scarry or erotic, it just had unnecessary nudity, especially d hooka stair scene [xplain hw 1's bra snaps like dat @ d front] & d Annette O'Toole pool scene. Billy Crudup was lush [gosh, I've been in this country 2 long] in Stage Beauty. Initially, I tot it was a docu/episode/smthin [yes I wasnt payin attention], so when I saw Momentum Pictures, I was like don't they make movies, then I saw Artisan Entertainment, Lion Gates, QWERTY Films, I stil went dont they do movies. Back 2 CC, gd on u mate 4 bein a BS fanboy & all, but u've gotta admit u were funny, all teary eyed & screechy. Can't believe he got coverage on telly 4 that or that Tay Zonday [I was blissfully unaware bout d whole Choclate Rain craze til I watchd Lily Allen & Friends via iplayer] really sings like that. YES! It was bout my hits, normally in a gd week, I usually get 1-5 hits. On a normal day I get 0. So when I get an influx of crazy hits in 1 day [ok, it's only 11], I tend 2 hv a heart attack. Then of course, it all goes pear shaped, when I realise where I got d hits from - Baidu, Google, Yahoo! & plain ass crazy [usually in Asian - I say Asain bcuz 4 d life of me I don't know d differance btw Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc so Asian's a safe bet] search engines. And they r always lookin for music, random words or in some cases [which r gettin ratha frequent] porn. Y d heck, wud sm1 b lookin for b-shot? [That actually led them 2 my iTunes sud b shot post - which is 1st on d baidu search]

This is wat happens when I've got 2 much time on my hands - I visit gossip blogs, yes shameful but true. I usually tend to avoid Perez Hilton like d plague, no offence dude, dunno y, I just do - mayb, its d over commercialization. Anyhoo, I finally went to PH's & I may be as blind as a bat n all, but wats wit d ciroc vodka, d colour pink & d Rumar Willis beef?I really cant b assd bout RW, but I felt sorry 4 her (damn my feminity!). Y r we humans so intrigued by celebrity?Thats 4 anoda time, 1 of these yrs am gonna go celeb crazy & rant bout Kellz & all those crazy rich ppl after I rant bout Naij. If I see anymore news bout BS, I'm gonna get deported.

Back 2 d blogs issue, they r some really crazy ppl online, some of d comments I have read on blogs & boards range from quiet desperation to over d top Paula Abdul insanity or 2 quote B. Scott discovrd this blogga late December, he cracks me up "eballers" or sud I say "ebawlerrs" stress on d errs like ur Chingy/Nelly. God bless d crazies. Well am off 2 my local Tesco's to get me some of that good good minstrels, yes Emma, I'm bout 2 eat my weight in chocolate.

.....Falcon Cars for their/my 2007 Boxing Day Debacle. Lets c, I was stranded @ Bracken Rd/Tyburn Road thanx to d luvly buses (apparently takin' us to work (was workin' @ d Fort Shoppin' Park) wasn't d problm, they were a bit cloudy bout d return journey). Anyhoo, 2 cut d long story short, they said my phone was dead (ironically, my phone did die, after i called them thrice (I ranted, loads of swearin', they hung up on me (durin' d 3rd call), a whole hour after my initial call, while i was calling a backup taxi from Castle Cars). I ended up walking back home (I live in city centre). Thank u 4 savin' me money & makin' me exercise.

Actually, the interestin' bit happened while I was chargin' my phones, I noticed I had a voicemail from d 2nd driver (i think), they sent....So I think 3 was @ fault - 3 went all t-mobile on me, ok back 2d pervy driver.....Anyhoo, this driver dude leaves me a ratha short randy request, thats an understatement, he obviously needs a man/woman/vaccuum cleaner. I was actually going to post d message, but d recorder's on my other phone & I cant be assed to put credit on it. Since sleep's been avoiding me, been surfing as usual I landed on Wiki. Anyhoo, just came across yhe PS3 article and I'm officially pissed. Did you know the Yanks & Japanese (aka NTSC regions) currently have a choice of 4models (20,40,60,80 GB), okay lets say that d 20,60 have/would run out since they've been discountinued, that leaves 2 (40,80 GB) for those NTSCers. While we lovely morons, since they like 2 assume were stupid & desperate enuff to buy them @ extortion prices & questionable condition (e.g no emotion chips, d endless delays), the PALers (Africa, Europe) only have an option of 2 models (40,60 GB), d 60's been discountinued so more or less we've got 1 option - 40 GB.

Whats with this manner of bullshit? The 40 has no PS2 backwards compatibility (Apparently, it works 4 d PS1 - I cant even find my PS1 games. Even tho that bastard stole all my PS1 games), no SACD playback & 2 USB ports. Oh well looks like I may go 2 d Xbox360 crew (been leaning 2wards them since Gears of War) or get that friend 2 give me d 80GB with d converter for £200, hey I can live without d PS network, never used d 1 on my PS2. Or just wait for 2/3yrs, like I did 4 d PS2. I actually was considering getting this, u know built in Blu-Ray disc player, God of War 3, Assassin's Creed [AC] (when it was an exclusive), and d mighty Motorsport (My ex-boss actually hogged d game from his own store). C'est la vie.

Anyhoo, in other news, I'm hungry. Saw 2 guys playing fussbol (like last wk or 2) and d loser wud have 2 ask some chic out, didnt hear d rest since d lift's doors closed & took me up. I haven't watched telly in a month (excluding all d shows I watch online). I haven't touched my PS2 in 2 months. I cooked 2 weeks ago & a friend ate it & didn't die. I want Chinese from that buffet place in York (Linda mail it already). Home Office hurry up with my passport. I wish I knew about d London Games Festival sooner, would have loved 2 try AC 1st hand. Really want an AC hoodie. Really want to play Naruto on Xbox360 just 2 say & do "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu". Unfortunately they r based on d English 1s. Cudn't they just be like Soulcalibur (still havnt played III yet), stick 2d country d character originates from?! I want my seiyūs! A PS3 title's due in 2008.

Oh well since nobody's gonna read this, c u nxt wk/month. 5 days to go 4 d wedding (been ordered to take "piyures" cuz I'm a bridesmaid, I'm 2 old 4 this, blame d tot of 9ja food in abundnce). 8 days to go to becoming "legal + 1" aka "certified, no questions asked legal". 10 days to getting paid for counting ppl going on & off d trains in New Street. 1 day to an interview. In an attempt 2b.....em, 2b.....wats that word again hip?technologically savvy?will go 4 d latter......technologically savvy, I decided 2 give windows' speech recognition a try. Bearing in mind i cudn't find any of my mics, i decided to use my crappy loudspeakers, low & behold, it walked. Anyhoo, SR sucked. "Maybe cuz u talk @ 90miles per hour" says Inner Dobi. "Do u stil want 2 exist" says Outer Dobi. Inner Dobi retracts & apologises 4 "a random unnecessary comment, which sud b greatly ignored". It kept opening internet explorer, thought swear words were commands, ignored several commands, but understood cancel, close explorer, switch 2 vlc but did not quite grasp d concept of d word "play". At 1 point made a whole sentence from the word bugger. Oh well, will find my mics eventually.

On Naruto,been ignoring this anime 4 yrs, then finally gave into temptation while seeking comfort due to Ben & Jerry MIA. Nene ur fella was right, its addictive as hell (can't rememba his xact words, but along those lines). Even watched a few Shippūden episodes, been pacing myself cuz i actually have a life. Inner Dobi says "U Wish". Thanks to Naruto, may actually deceive myself into learning Japanese, will do that when i find my learn Spanish CD. Inner Dobi says "She knows where it is. She just can't b assed 2 insert d disc". Yes I actually prefer reading subs, than watching English dubs. I actually ryhmed??!Whoopi!Wippi-ka-ye-Alan-Farmer!. Those kids matured in Shippūden, Sakura finally kicks ass minus d Sasuke-kun this, Sasuke-kun that. Kakashi forever reading "Make Out Tactics", "Make Out Violence" or "Make Out _________{{insert word}}". Anyhoo, good stuff.

Finally, Inner Dobi says "Phew", I'm sure ur wondering wats/who's Phil. Nobody says "No.". Phil's a character that came out of my head, when I needed some laughs. Yes, Linda, its d same Phil, I was on bout. Anyhoo, Phil, born Phillip Mortimer Mortgomery (yes had just watched Futurama & was readin Mort @ d time. Technically I've been reading Mort on & off 4 2-3 months now, I've been read a book half way, then-stop-4-no-reason-and-read-a-few-paragraphs-once-every-3-weeks-or-so phase. yes I'm stil reading Interesting Times, which i started last yr. Altho, d 7th Potter & d 5th Artemis Fowl books didnt suffer this particular thingy, but I digress) in Ancient Greece. He wanted 2b a philospher, but found out he cudn't grow a beard. Then he decided 2b a poet but he wasn't good @ writing epics or rhyming. Then settled as an architect, unfortunately he specialized in wood, noone told him most of d stuff was in marble, so he always wondered why noone wanted 2 live in his buildings & y they were always burnt down by d end of d week. The whole joke @ d time was that his name was so ordinary (by our standards) and so out of place (by theirs). @ some point I envisioned him in high school with Aristotle and/or Homer as his bullies. Oh well, back 2d not so creatively drawing board.

Wow, just found out my cuz (I hav ova 50 cousins & no I'm not exagerrating, unlike Em's 1/2) just got married. Ok, its only been a traditional wedding apparently not d main 1,dowdry has been given & I'm still ratha confused, hey Igbo marriages r strange, theres even a bit where d hubby's lookin 4 his wife-2b & his blindfolded & watnot,yes its really stange. Anyhoo, congrats Ekene,no pressure watsoeva on me,shes only a month or so younger than me/I/damn d english language.

Random Q - What's with the fireworks? It's been going on for 2 days now. It could be gun shots or a mute hanging from d window, pounding 4 dear life, just a tot. And those bleeding horns/foghorns/sirens, u'd think we were in South Central.

Hmm....me hungry, me want KFC but me can't be assed to walk 2 get it. Oh well, off 2 play wit Miss Croft (dat sounds dodgy). Cool FM 96.9 rules! Although those ads r sooooo wrong. And R. Wow, Pavarotti's gone. Amazing, a news coverage that has outdone d McCann's. yes that sounded harsh, but its bcom ratha annoyin. Anyhoo, in Dobi's bit 2 seem social concious saw d nude pic of Vanessa Anne Hudgens, now i feel a bit dirty, even tho am a str8 woman. It wasn't all that, since I'm assuming it was taken by Zac Efron, dude where did u leave ur camera, I'm sure d kid had it on his phone, and was feelin thugish. for d past 4 or 5 days all my hits hv been comin from search engines apparently ppl r interestd in hi5 testimonials,1 even went as far as searchin 4 "nice hi5 testimonals".oh well.
